National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action-packed program designed to provide youth with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. Cedar Badge (CB) is sponsored by the Grand Teton Council and provides an active environment for teaching youth cutting-edge leadership skills. The CB-NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leaders must BE, what they must KNOW, and what they must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership. CB-NYLT is the best training available anywhere!

Program Levels

Boy Scout CB-NYLT (11 and 13 year olds) Boy Scout CB-NYLT uses the patrol method in a Scout Camp setting to teach leadership and Scoutcraft skills and help Scouts become effective leaders within the Boy Scout Program. Participants will experience: Model Troop Leadership and Operations  Interpatrol Activities and Competitions Overnight Outpost Camp Inspirational Campfires

Varsity CB-NYLT (14 to 17 year olds)   Varsity CB-NYLT offers all of the leadership and Scoutcraft training of the Boy Scout Program combined with more high-adventure activities and fun! Participants will experience:   Rappelling Geocaching Overnight Outpost Camp Rendezvous and Varsity Games

Venturing CB-Kodiak (16 to 20 year olds)   Venturing CB-Kodiak is the pinnacle of the youth high adventure activities, while teaching advanced leadership skills. Participants will experience such things as:   Hiking Floating the rivers Climbing and Rappelling NOTE: VENTURING IS $50 MORE THAN THE BASIC $160 FEE FOR PARTICIPANTS! FOR A TOTAL OF $210
