Prerequisites:
- Current Level 1 or Lead Climbing Instructor.
- Basic First Aid Certificate. (Or must be completed before certificate is issued)
- Current CPR Certificate (Or must be completed before certificate is issued).
- Minimum of 15 hours of verified Anchor Building while a Level 1 or Lead Climbing Instructor.
- Hours from anchor building during unit activities.
- Hours of anchor building during Council or District Events (Rocker, Camps, Encampments)
- Hours teaching anchor systems during Level 1 training.
- Hours building anchor systems during Merit Badge activities.
- Hours building anchor systems during Council approved Workshops. (October 9th)
- Attend one or more Workshops. Assisted Rappel and Mechanical Advantage Workshops are REQUIRED.
- Minimum of 2 Hours of Climbing Committee Approved Universal Access Workshops
- Non-BSA training programs such as, NOLS, AMSAR, PCGI, AMGA and some approved College courses.
Instruction will begin Friday at 6:00 PM.
(For those that need additional hours of Anchor System Building, Assisted Rappel or Mechanical Advantage or a refresher, Workshops will begin Friday at 8:00A.M.) Meet at Bath Rock Parking Area.
Saturday’s instruction will begin at 8:00 AM.
COST: 25.00. Please bring your copy of Belay On to the training. A copy of Belay on can be provided at extra cost.
