Treasure Mountain Restoration Weekend 

Treasure Mountain Scout Camp has served the youth of eastern Idaho and western Wyoming
for over eighty years, helping to build character, leadership, and engaging youth in the
outdoor experience.

On December 31, 2021, our United States Forest Service special use permit expired and as
we pursued a renewal it became clear that the Council no longer possessed the resources to
operate the camp. We informed the USFS that we would amicably vacate the property.
Our exit necessitates considerable work to remove structures and “leave no trace” on this
property. Restoration of this long-used property is a duty that we owe to the site.

We are very much in need of help from Scouts and leaders in dismantling the camp
and cleaning up the site.

We want to invite the help of members and leaders of your unit to assist us with a work day
on Saturday, October 1^st. Camping on Friday night, September 30^th through Sunday the 2^nd
is also a possibility.
