BALOO/OWL Cub Scout Leader Training takes place Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Scout Hollow.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) is a one-day training event that introduces parents and Cub Scout leaders to the skills needed to plan and conduct Pack outdoor activities.  Every Pack should have a BALOO-trained leader to ensure the appropriate guidelines are followed for Outdoor Activities.

Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills (OWL) for Webelos Leaders is designed specifically for Webelos Den Leaders and their assistants. OWL teaches outdoor-related skills and adventure preparation.

Both BALOO and OWL provide instruction, demonstration and hands-on practice. Come learn how to provide a successful outdoor experience for your Cub Scouts and Webelos! Both trainings fill requirements for the Den Leader Training Award, Scouter’s Training Award for Cub Scouting, and the Cubmaster’s Key award. Registration fee is $10.00.

All participants are invited to stay for both trainings, to obtain both certifications. A maximum of 48 participants for the course (the course was full last year).

Please park in the parking lot and walk in.
