The Ultimate Cub Scout Leader Training

Akela’s Adventure offers Cub leaders the chance to learn all the important aspects of the Cub Scout program while indulging in Cub Scout fun.

This five-day event incorporates lessons and activities covering everything from pack and den organization and management to awards and advancement to outdoor cooking, volcanoes, and boat races.

Custom-built for Cub Leaders, this training provides up-to-date Cub Scout information packaged with lots of hands-on fun and ideas for keeping your Cubs engaged and involved. Get the most out of this course by taking the challenge to create five goals (“paw prints”) intended to encourage your continued growth as a leader beyond the end of the course. Best of all, return home excited, energized, and ready to make your den, pack, or district Cub Scout program the best ever.

Held during the family Scouting event known as Tall Timber at Island Park Scout Camp, enjoy everything happening at Akela’s Adventure while other family members indulge in their own adventures in one of the other age-appropriate Tall Timber programs:

Family Camp - ages 18 mos. to 17

Cedar Badge (National Youth Leadership Training) – ages 12 to 20

Wood Badge (leadership training for adults) – ages 18+

Mountain Mates (for that spouse who wants more time to just relax and play) – ages 18+
