National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) and Kodiak are exciting, action-packed programs designed to provide youth with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. Cedar Badge (CB) is sponsored by the Grand Teton Council and provides an active environment for teaching these youth cutting-edge leadership programs. The Cedar Badge course centers around the concepts of what a leaders must BE, what they must KNOW, and what they must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. Cedar Badge is the best training available anywhere!

Program Levels

NYLT (12 - 17 year old Youth) NYLT uses the patrol method in a Scout Camp setting to teach leadership and Scoutcraft skills and help Scouts become effective leaders within all programs in Scouting. Participants will experience: Model Troop Leadership and Operations  Interpatrol Activities and Competitions Overnight Outpost Camp Inspirational Campfires

Venturing Kodiak (14 to 20 year old youth) Venturing Kodiak is the pinnacle of the youth high adventure activities, while teaching advanced leadership skills. Participants will experience such things as:   Hiking Floating the rivers Climbing and Rappelling NOTE: VENTURING IS $50 MORE THAN THE BASIC $160 FEE FOR PARTICIPANTS! FOR A TOTAL OF $210

If you are a staff member who has received a paper form from a participant, please turn those into the Scout Office in Idaho Falls.
