2020 Course Overview

Wood Badge is intended for all adults in Scouting, as well as national, council, and district volunteers and professionals. It focuses on leadership. The objective is to demonstrate the aims and methods of Scouting through the presentation of leadership skills, organizational tools, and a variety of activities based on the best of Scouting traditions. In addition, participants will enjoy the fellowship of sharing the experience with volunteer and professional Scouters while having a great deal of just plain fun.

NOTE: This is two-part weekend course that covers November 5-7 & November 13-14. You only need to register for the first weekend of the course. The second weekend link is for calendaring purposes only.

*   Understand Scouting as a family of interrelated, values-based programs providing age-appropriate activities for youth.

*   Recognize leadership concepts used in America and discover how those concepts are relevant to our value-based movement.

*   Apply the skills you learn to your Scouting role, at work, at home, and elsewhere.

*   Revitalize your commitment to Scouting by sharing in an inspirational experience that helps provide Scouting with renewed leadership it to accomplish its mission.

All Wood Badge participants must be registered with BSA and have completed Basic Leader Training

Cancellation Policy
REFUND POLICY • Fees are refundable in full 15 days prior to the start of the training course. • No fees are refundable after 15 days prior to the start of the training course, except for major medical emergencies and with approval of the Course Director and the Council Office. • Fees are not transferable to another individual unless approved before the start of the training course. • Fees transferred to another individual must be used within one year of the original course. • A Refund Request Form must be completed before a refund can be reviewed. • To be cost effective, instead of issuing a check for a refund of $10.00 or less, the amount will be deposited in the unit account.
