Girls Camp Information

The Grand Teton Council wants to help you make this year's camp the best ever!  Our Camp Directors are ready and willing to help with the planning and scheduling for your week at camp.  We provide program areas properly staffed for safety and fun.  Most campsites can accommodate 20 to 25 girls, some are even larger!

Program Areas

Hikes

Scenic hikes can be organized for each age group.

Waterfront

After a long hike come and cool off in the picturesque lakes. With temperatures from 55-70 degrees, it's great to swim, snorkel or just get soaked. Learn how to paddle a canoe, row a boat, or just swim. A swim check is required to use the waterfront and will be given the first day of camp. The Aquatic staff will be available at the lake during your stay.

Rifle Range

Learn how to safely handle and shoot a rifle. The older gals (14+) can experience the thrill of shotgun shooting and the bang of Muzzle Loading rifle shooting.  Both of our camps have great Archery and Rifle ranges, operated by Certified Field Sports Director and Archery Director.

Archery

Learn how to properly aim and shoot an arrow and actually hit the target. Success will be yours at the Archery Range.

Available only at Little Lemhi

River Front:  The girls can qualify to take a canoe on the Snake River.   River runs will be scheduled according to demand.  Includes 1 1/2 hours on the river with canoes, life jackets and paddles. Trained staff members are provided to guide you safely down the South Fork of the Snake River. A "swimmer" classification is required to participate in the River Run.

Available only at Island Park

Project COPE/Climbing and Repelling Tower: Project COPE stands for "Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience." COPE uses group initiative games, low-course and high-course activities to build confidence and trust in a team. Some of the activities involve a group challenge while others test individual skills and agility. Participants climb, swing, balance, jump, and think of solutions to a variety of activities. Participants in the high-course events must be at least 13 years old.
